Ahn Byung-joon is currently Visiting Professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, Seoul, Korea. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, Republic of Korea. Most recently, he was a visiting professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Tokyo, Japan in 2002-2004. He was a professor of political science at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea, in 1978-2001. He received a Ph.D. from Columbia in 1972, taught at Western Illinois University, the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; University of California, Berkeley; SAIS, Johns Hopkins; and George Washington University. He is the author of over ten books and many articles in English journals including Foreign Affairs and Korean publications. His interests are in Global Governance, International Relations and Political Economy, China and East Asian Studies, and Korean security and unification issues.
