현재 한양대학교 국제학대학원의 교수로 재직 중인 엄구호 교수는 연세대학교 사회과학대학을 졸업하고 모스크바국립대학교에서 법학박사학위를 취득하였다.

주요 저서로는 ‘정부규제의 다학문적 이해’, ‘러시아 금융산업집단의 정치경제학'등이 있으며, Global Economic Review, 국제정치논총, 슬라브학보, 중소연구 등 국내외 학술지에 40 여편의 논문을 발표한 바 있다. 그는 또한 현재 한양대학교 아태지역연구센터 소장과 인문한국사업 러시아·유라시아연구사업단의 책임을 맡고 있다.

전경련의 자유경제출판문화상 등을 수상했으며 한국정치학회의 한러학술교류위원장, 동북아경제학회의 러시아 및 전환기 경제위원장, 한국러시아문학회 연구이사, 한국정책포럼 부회장 등을 역임했으며 Journal of Eurasian Studies 편집위원장, 중소연구 편집위원장으로 활동하고 있다.

Professor Gu Ho Eom teaches Russian Studies at the Graduate School of International Studies of Hanyang University. He received a B.A. (1984) from Yonsei University, an M.S. and Ph.D. in public administration and a Doctor of Science(1994) in Law from Moscow State University. Before joining the Hanyang faculty in 1997, Professor Eom had been on the Research Fellow of Institute of East and West Studies of Yonsei University as Research Professor.

Professor Eom has taught various courses such as Russian Economy, Eurasian Studies, Reasearch Methodology, Russian Politics, Advanced Topics in Russian Studies.

He, a leading authority on Russian and Eurasian Studies, is the author or co-author of 15 books. His book, [Multidisciplinary Approaches to Government Regulation](1993), was published by Moscow State University Press. His co-authored book, [Privatization and Corporate Structure](2000), received 'Market Economy Prize' from the Federation of Korean Industries.

He has also authored more than 70 articles in leading academic journals such as Korean Journal of International Studies, Global Economic Review, Journal of Sino-Soviet Studies, Korean Journal of Area Studies, Korea and International Politics, Journal of Slavic Studies. Currently he is director of Asia-Pacific Research Center, Hanyang University and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Eurasian Studies and the Journal of Sino-Soviet Studies.
