서울국제포럼 The Seoul Forum for International Affairs(SFIA)

곽주영은 연세대학교 경영대학의 국제경영 전공 교수이다. 곽주영 교수는 매사추세츠 공과 대학(MIT)에서 기술경제학 및 정책으로 박사 학위를 취득하였다. 연구 분야는 주로 기업-정부간 관계, 국제 통상 및 신흥 시장내 기업의 전략 경영이다. 교내에서는 글로벌인재대학의 국제통상 전공의 학과장과 학부 외교통상학 연계전공의 학과장을 맡고 있다. 2019년부터 산업통상자원부 내 통상협상본부장의 민간 자문 위원으로 활약하고 있으며 산업통상자원부의 업무 평가도 담당하고 있다. 2020년부터는 청와대의 대통령직속 정책기획위원회에 임명되어 대한민국의 100대 국정 과제 선정과 성장 정책의 기조를 다듬고 있다. 이 외에도 지속가능한 개발이라는 목표 달성을 위한 기업과 공공 영역간의 파트너쉽에 관하여 세계은행 컨설턴트 등 국제기구 활동에 폭넓게 참여해왔다.

Dr. Jooyoung Kwak is a Professor of International Business at School of Business, Yonsei University. She completed her Ph.D. at Massachusettts Institute of Technology in area of technology economics and policy. She has researched business-government relations, international commerce, and corporate strategic management in the emerging markets. Dr. Kwak has served for supervisory board for Minister of Commerce, and for the performance evaluation committee for Ministry of Industry, Trade and Energy. From 2020, she was appointed as a member of National Presidential Committee for Policy and Planning. In addition, she worked as a local consultant for World Bank.
