Hyung-Soo PARK is currently the President of the Korea Institute of Public Finance (KIPF). President Park, a leading expert in macroeconomics, monetary economics, and international economics, joined KIPF in 2001 and held several management roles from the Head of the Center of Fiscal Analysis to Director of the Research Planning and Coordination Group.
During his time at KIPF, President Park was appointed as the 14th Commissioner of the Statistics Korea, a central government organization for statistics in 2013. Prior to joining KIPF, he worked at the International Department and Research Department of the Bank of Korea. He also served as the Board Member of the Korea Association of Public Finance from 2009 to 2013.
In 2009, President Park received an award from the Minister of Strategy and Finance. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
