현 서울대학교 국제대학원 교수. 대외부원장과 국제통상금융센타 소장을 맡고 있다. 서울대에서 국제경제학사와 미시간대학에서 경제학박사 및 Juris Doctor (뉴욕주 변호사)를 취득하였다. 한국개발연구원 국제정책대학원 부교수/WTO통상전략센타 소장, 조지타운대학 법대 국제경제법센타 초빙연구원을 역임했으며, 싱가폴국립대학, 홍콩대학, 바르셀로나대학, 스위스 World Trade Institute 등 다수의 대학들에서 강의했다. 18대 대통령직인수위원회 경제1분과 전문위원, 국민경제자문회의 거시금융분과 자문위원, 무역위원회 무역위원, 통상교섭민간자문위원회 위원 등을 역임한 바 있다. American Journal of International Law, Journal of International Economic Law, Journal of World Trade 등 학술지에 많은 연구논문을 출간했으며 2012년 국제거래법학회에서 수여하는 심당학술상을 수상했다.

Professor of International Trade Law and Policy at the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), Seoul National University. He currently works as Director of Center for International Commerce and Finance in GSIS and is listed in the panel rosters for WTO and Korea-EU FTA dispute settlement systems. Professor Ahn worked at the 18th Presidential Transition Committee and currently works, among others, as Member of National Economic Advisory Council, Commissioner of Korea Trade Commission, Member of Trade Negotiation Advisory Council. He taught at many universities, including the World Trade Institute in Switzerland, University of Barcelona in Spain, University of Hong Kong, National University of Singapore and the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Korea. Professor Ahn holds both Ph. D. in Economics and J.D. from the University of Michigan.
